RECENT EVENTS
We discuss Aaron’s trip to Iceland and its literary enthusiasm, his avoidance of licorice, the possibility of hallucinogenic experiences from heavy metal music and smoked fish. Aaron mentions the opening of the Art House Café. We talk about the last Sawdust Reading with Doug Dumais and George Elliott Clarke with Liam Burke on guitar, which we all attended. Natalie mentioned how great the open mic was.
EVENTS WISH LIST (6.43)
Aaron talked about the VERSeFest volunteer event, Blue Mondays, the Frog Hollow Press launch at the Factory Reading Series with Patrick O’Reilly. Words on Stages in Toronto launched parenthetical 18, the book store Knife, Fork, Book and its great selection of chapbooks.
Natalie wished she could attend Robin Richardson’s Unsympathetic Poetry Workshops.
Amanda mentioned Growing Room: A Feminist Literary Festival in Vancouver. Aaron talks about Dina Del Bucchia’s amazing poem in Event Magazine a few years ago.
